Declan

Senior Peer Mentor

Declan is a kind, caring, and grounded individual currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work. Outside of his studies, Declan likes spending time with friends and family, playing and watching footy, listening to music, and jamming on the guitar. He finds enjoyment in relaxing walks around his neighbourhood and catching up on his favourite shows and movies. Declan’s passion for the Peer Mentor Program stems from his genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Ruby

Senior Peer Mentor

Ruby is an adventurous, caring and fun person who has successfully completed a Certificate IV of Community Services. Ruby is now studying for a Diploma of Counselling and a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs. She brings her passion for making a positive impact to her work. Ruby finds joy in going for walks, visiting the beach, practicing reformer pilates and embarking on camping adventures. During her downtime, she loves trying out new restaurants, taking leisurely walks in the botanical gardens and going to the beach. Ruby’s commitment to the Peer Mentor Program stems from her genuine enjoyment of helping others and making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Wilson

Business Support Officer - Peer Mentor Team

Wilson is a kind, fun, and confident individual who is currently studying Marine Science. He has a wide range of interests, including Anime, Marvel, DnD, hiking, and reading. Wilson enjoys going to the movies, cooking, playing games, and catching up with his friends. He is very interested in music and can play the drums and is also learning the piano. He is passionate about helping others and believes that he can make a difference by sharing his experiences and knowledge.

Abbey has completed two years of an Education Degree but is having a break from studying at the moment. She plans to complete a Bachelor of Primary Teaching in the future. Abbey’s interests include sports, camping and watching movies. Abbey is passionate about the peer mentor program as she loves working with people. She is looking forward to engaging with participants and watching them grow. Her top three values are respect, kindness and honesty.

Alex

Alex is a positive and compassionate individual who values building connections. Alex enjoys hitting the gym, going to the beach and watching movies. Alex has previously lived in the US and has also been able to successfully solve a Rubik’s cube! Alex is currently studying High School Teaching, set to graduate in 2028. Alex is committed to assisting people build their independence and achieve their goals.

Ava is currently studying nursing and hopes to pursue paediatrics in the future, driven by her love of helping others and making a positive difference. Ava is creative at heart and loves art, drawing, and painting, as well as playing piano in her downtime. When she’s not being artistic, you’ll probably find her playing netball, catching up with friends, going to the beach, or grabbing a coffee. She’s passionate about being part of the program and is excited to support others in achieving their goals and have plenty of fun along the way.

Bec is fun, enthusiastic, and kind. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Imaging at Deakin University and is expected to complete her studies in 2028. Bec likes netball, snowboarding and going to the beach. She is passionate about travelling and has travelled to locations such as Europe, Canada and New York. Bec enjoys being a Peer Mentor because she can give back to the community. She is excited about being in a position to make a real difference in people’s lives and observing the growth in confidence of her participants.

Bella

Bella is a friendly, fun, and determined individual currently studying Occupational Therapy, with plans to graduate in 2028. Passionate about helping others, Bella finds it incredibly rewarding to support people on their journey and see the meaningful progress they can achieve. Bella brings both compassion and intelligence to her work and relationships. Outside of her studies, Bella leads an active and social lifestyle. She enjoys going for runs, working out at the gym, playing netball, reading, and taking walks along the beach. Bella also cherishes coffee catch-ups with friends, cheering on her favourite AFL team, and embracing opportunities to connect with others.

Ben

Ben is currently studying Construction Management and is set to graduate in 2028. He is reliable, honest, and always up for a laugh and enjoys golf, footy, cricket, and time at the beach. A foodie at heart, Ben loves exploring new places for great food and drinks. After living in England for six months, he brings a fresh outlook and passion for helping others enjoy everything Geelong has to offer. Ben is driven to see others thrive and make the most of life with a down-to-earth and positive attitude.

Bianca

Bianca is currently studying a Certificate IV in Disability. She values respect, honesty and being open-minded. Bianca loves music, movies, taking time to undertake in girly activities and get dressed up. One of Bianca’s hidden talents is she can memorise song lyrics very quickly. Bianca is passionate about being a Peer Mentor as her previous experience in respite has given her an awesome opportunity to continue doing what she loves while helping her participants with what they love.

Brittney

Brittney is friendly, determined and approachable. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends or playing netball. She likes dogs and travelling, and once went on a cruise. Brittney is passionate about working with people and is helping guide them to reach their goals so they can grow. Brittney is also looking forward to having some fun and helping build positive relationships.

Caelan completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2023. With a natural passion for helping others, Caelan is deeply committed to creating supportive environments and promoting a person-centred approach in all aspects of life. Coming from a large family, Caelan thrives in social settings and has developed strong interpersonal and communication skills. Outside of work and study, Caelan enjoys a balanced and active lifestyle including swimming, playing sports (particularly basketball and tennis), attending music festivals and events, and spending relaxing days at the beach. Caelan enjoys watching movies and spending quality time with friends.

Caitlyn

Caitlyn is a fun, creative, and caring soul who’s studied criminology and psychology as well as counselling. She’s fascinated by people and loves finding ways to make a positive difference in her community. In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys painting, drawing, writing short stories, gaming with friends, and getting lost in a good book. She’s always up for a beach day, a coastal drive, or trying out a new restaurant.

Cameron

Cameron is a funny, talkative and caring person with a big passion for helping others. He’s currently studying a Certificate III in Youth Work and is set to graduate in 2026. When he’s not studying, you’ll find him out running, walking his dog or watching sport. A big Lord of the Rings fan, Cameron also loves discovering new food spots and spending time by the waterfront. Having travelled to 25 countries, he’s developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and communities. Cameron hopes to use his experiences to empower others and help people feel connected and included in their communities.

Chantelle is a patient, funny and generous person with a passion for helping others. She’s currently studying psychology and hopes to move into counselling in the future. In her spare time, Chantelle enjoys shopping, hitting the gym, reading, watching movies, and going out for meals with friends. She also loves baking or cooking and getting creative with arts and crafts. Chantelle is deeply passionate about this role, as she believes everyone deserves an equal chance and the opportunity to thrive.

Charli is currently studying her Honours in Psychology, set to finish in 2027. Passionate, caring, and understanding, she’s always looking to help others achieve their goals, which she finds incredibly rewarding. Charlotte is empathetic, caring and funny. She enjoys going to the beach for a walk and playing basketball to keep active. She enjoys gaming and completing puzzles in her spare time. Charlotte has lived in many places, including England, New Zealand, USA, and now Australia. Charlotte is passionate about helping people achieve the goals they set out to do. She is eager to help people find their passion and help them build meaningful connections.

Cianna

Cianna is funny, resilient, and respectful, currently studying a Certificate III in Support Work and is passionate about helping others and making a difference in people’s lives. In her free time, Cianna loves doing pilates, going for walks, and spending time at the beach. She’s all about balance, kindness, and finding joy in the little things.

Connor is currently studying a Bachelor in Exercise and Sport Science with a major in Exercise Physiology. He is described as being friendly, funny and motivated. In his spare time, Connor enjoys playing footy, likes travelling and spending time on the beach with friends and family. Connor works in disability as he finds it very rewarding and enjoys helping people achieve their goals and to help create independence for participants.

Daniel

Daniel is currently studying for a Bachelor of Social Work and is due to complete this in 2024. He is a funny, caring and passionate person who enjoys music and playing the guitar. When Daniel isn’t working, he enjoys drawing, trying out new restaurants and watching live music. With over 4 years of experience, Daniel has seen firsthand the positive impact Peer Mentor Support can have on the participants’ health and well-being.

Deb

Business Support Officer & Peer Mentor

Deb is friendly, compassionate and organised. She loves catching up with friends and family, and enjoys music and dancing. With a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care and Disability), she is passionate about helping participants overcome everyday challenges and bringing positivity to their lives. For Deb, the most rewarding part of the role is seeing laughter and smiles. Known by her family for her “cleaning obsession,” she is highly adaptable and always eager to learn new things.

Erin

Erin has a Bachelor of Health Science which she completed in 2012, a Cert IV in Health (Nursing), and a Graduate Certificate in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing which she completed in 2020. She values integrity, honesty and respect. Erin loves snowboarding, being outdoors, baking and volunteering. Erin enjoys working with participants to achieve their goals and build solid relationships with them.

Kind-hearted, fun-loving, and a little bit silly, Erin is someone who brings joy wherever she goes. Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and set to graduate in 2026, Erin is deeply passionate about understanding people and helping them thrive. In her free time, Erin enjoys being creative, whether she’s crocheting a cozy masterpiece, whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, or getting lost in a good anime. Erin’s hobbies reflect her playful and artistic spirit: she enjoys video games, gardening, rollerskating, and going on coffee-fueled walks. A true animal lover with a heart of gold, Erin finds genuine happiness in making others smile.

Euriah

Euriah is a compassionate and empathetic individual who prioritises physical well-being. He is a golfer, gym enthusiast, and runner. In his leisure time, he enjoys recreational activities such as beach outings, culinary explorations, and attending sporting events. Euriah is eager to contribute to the Peer Mentor program by providing support and guidance to participants as they strive to develop their skills and achieve their objectives.

Georgie

Georgie is friendly, empathetic, and reliable, driven by her passion for helping others and supporting wellbeing. Georgie is currently studying occupational therapy but plans to pursue social work. Georgie has a big interest in wellness and self-care, and loves spending her time walking, doing pilates, cooking, and heading to the beach. You’ll often find her down at Torquay Beach or the Barwon River, soaking up the sun, or out shopping with friends.

Grace

Peer Mentor

Grace is a motivated and friendly person. She is an Occupational Therapy student, set to finish her studies in 2026. She has a wide range of interests, including netball, tennis, football, art, and reading. Grace loves spending time with her family, taking her dog for a walk, and catching up on her favourite Netflix shows. A unique skill that Grace has is that she knows how to juggle. Grace is passionate about the Peer Mentor Program because she values helping others.

Gwen

Peer Mentor

Gwen is currently pursuing a Diploma in Community Services Health, with an expected graduation date of 2025. She’s a curious individual who loves exploring new experiences. In her free time, she expresses her creativity through flow art with a Dragon Staff and miniature painting for tabletop gaming. She’s a gamer, often found at GUF or gaming workshops, especially enjoying Dungeons and Dragons. When she’s not immersed in these hobbies, she enjoys reading fictional novels and hiking in the You Yangs. Gwen is passionate about being a peer mentor because she believes in supporting others, no matter where they are on their NDIS journey.

Hayden

Hayden is a loving, enthusiastic and approachable individual with a genuine passion for supporting others. His hobbies encompass a wide range of interests, including collecting Lego, reading, writing, art and model building. Hayden has an extensive movie collection and has an interest in history. Outside of work, Hayden finds solace in nature, often op shopping, visiting museums and visiting animal shelters. In the Geelong area, Hayden’s favourite activities include beach walks, browsing shops, antiquing and visiting museums. With a musical talent, he plays the piano and enjoys writing music. Hayden has a goal to successfully apply for the defence force one day.

Honey is a thoughtful, fun, and caring person who’s studying occupational therapy, set to graduate in 2027. She’s passionate about helping others achieve their goals and looks forward to building supportive, meaningful relationships. Outside of her studies, Honey loves reading, crocheting, watching TV, and spending sunny days at the beach. She enjoys walking along the Barwon River, visiting local cafés, and doing a bit of shopping in her downtime.

Indi

Indi is studying a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, set to graduate in 2026. She enjoys playing tennis and the piano, and is currently learning Serbian.  Indi is gentle, caring, and loves building new connections with others. Her compassionate nature makes her passionate about helping people and creating meaningful relationships wherever she goes.

Jack is an energetic, empathetic, and reliable Peer Mentor who enjoys making meaningful connections with others. He’ll be starting his studies in Occupational Therapy in 2026 and is passionate about helping people live their best lives. Outside of mentoring, Jack loves going to the gym, spending time with friends, visiting the beach, shopping, kicking the footy, trying different foods, and browsing the Mill Markets. Jackson’s friends and family describe him as friendly and caring. He has worked in the disability sector for 5 years and has a Cert III and IV in Disability. In his spare time, Jackson likes to keep active by playing sports, particularly tennis at the Moolap Tennis Club. He also enjoys going to the footy, going for walks, getting a coffee, watching films and listening to music. Jackson is passionate about helping people and loves seeing others grow and achieve.

Jaimee

Peer Mentor

Jaimee is an outgoing and supportive individual who is passionate about helping others. With a keen interest in studying Certificate 4 in Community Service in the future. On her days off Jaimee enjoys playing basketball, football, and spending time with friends. Jaimee has travelled extensively throughout Australia and lived in Miami for a year. She is particularly passionate about the peer mentor program, using her lived experience with neurodiversity to help others.

Jake values honesty, compassion and respect. Jake loves playing video games, going to the gym, watching movies, bushwalks and enjoying the outdoors. Jake is also self-confessed foodie. He is passionate about helping others and is a big believer in making everyone feel appreciated and loved and believes that everyone should be respected.

As a Peer Mentor, Jared feels rewarded by supporting participants to achieve their goals in life. Jared would like to give back to the community by helping others achieve their goals by having a positive impact on those he mentors.

Jayden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and Communication. He values honesty, having fun and being yourself. Jayden loves video games, Lego and superhero movies. One of his unique skills is that he can speak a little Indonesian. Jayden is passionate about helping participants achieve their goals while having fun and finds Peer Mentoring very rewarding as he gets to have a positive impact on the lives of participants.

Jeremy

Jeremy has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science and is currently studying his Masters of Teaching (Secondary). A honest and respectful person Jeremy is looking forward to working alongside his participants to help promote independence and improve their quality of life. Jeremy is interested in music and can play the guitar and piano. In Jeremy’s spare time he enjoys cooking, playing golf, going for walks and DJing.

Joanna

Joanna is a proactive and creative individual with a diverse background. She has studied Dental Health and Community Services in Australia and Psychology, Pure Art, and Business Management in Venezuela. Passionate about movement and expression, she enjoys dance, gym workouts, motorbikes, climbing, and restoring old pieces or people’s confidence. She values culture and history, often visiting museums, theatres, and exploring new places. She is a lover of art, cooking, and hands-on projects. Joanna also speaks some Spanish and Italian and has traveled through the Caribbean. Driven to empower others, she helps clients become more self-sufficient and independent by blending knowledge, empathy, and creativity to inspire change.

Jordan has recently finished studying a Health Science degree at Deakin University, with future study plans of studying a language. He is compassionate, respectful and honest. Jordan enjoys sports, music, art, socialising with family and friends, travelling and nature. Jordan is interested in bringing individuals happiness and fun times. He enjoys meeting individuals with diverse backgrounds and getting to build relationships with them.

Joseph

Joseph is a fun, spontaneous, and adventurous individual currently studying Occupational Therapy, set to graduate in 2028. With big dreams of traveling and working remotely after graduation, Joseph is driven by a desire to explore the world while making a meaningful impact through his work. Joseph is passionate about helping others, inspired by the positive impact similar programs have had on people close to him. In his free time, Joseph enjoys a dynamic and active lifestyle, whether it’s heading to the beach with his dog, hitting the slopes, playing golf, or going for a run. He’s also passionate about working on his ute. Wherever he is, Joseph brings energy, warmth, and a genuine interest in others.

Josh is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws Degree and set to graduate in 2027. He is also committed to learning the French language. Josh is quite an active person and spends his days off work bouldering/rock-climbing, skateboarding and running. He also enjoys watching movies, playing video games and going to the beach. Josh is passionate about community service, seeking opportunities to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Kayla

Kayla is a physiotherapy student expected to complete her degree in 2026. She possesses a thoughtful and organised nature and enjoys intellectual pursuits such as reading and puzzle-solving, as well as creative hobbies like baking. She is also an active individual who enjoys outdoor activities, including dog walking, beach visits, and fitness classes such as pilates and yoga. Kayla is committed to assisting individuals in optimising their physical well-being and achieving their personal goals.

Lilly is kind, funny, and supportive with a big heart and creative spirit. She loves painting, sketching, and designing custom tattoos, as well as staying active with beach days, walks, and exploring new cafés. Lilly also enjoys traveling and has visited 14 countries and is passionate about cars, music, and football. She brings warmth, creativity, and a love for new experiences to everything she does.

Lily

Lily is kind, bubbly, and curious to learn more about other people she meets. She is studying for a Certificate IIII in Mental Health. Lily comes from a creative background and is a qualified graphic designer, who has studied in Japan. Lily likes to explore new places and enjoys being creative by attending art exhibits and completing art projects in her spare time. She likes to relax by reading or going for a walk in Jan Juc. Lily is passionate about empowering people to fulfill their goals and make positive choices in their lives, especially when it comes to education.

Lucy

With her kind and friendly nature, Lucy brings a bright and welcoming energy to the Peer Mentor Program. She’s currently studying a double degree in Sport & Exercise Science and Nutrition, combining her love for health and wellbeing with her passion for helping others. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys playing netball, going on walks, and catching up with friends over a coffee. Originally from Gippsland, she appreciates the best of both worlds, embracing the calm of country life and the buzz of the city. Lucy became a Peer Mentor because she genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of others. She finds joy in lifting people up and loves nothing more than making someone smile.

Mac is studying a Bachelor of Optometry and is due to complete it in 2027. He is caring, honest, and understanding. In his spare time, Mac likes to keep active by playing footy or golf and playing his Xbox from time to time. He also loves going to the beach and fishing. Mac can play the ukulele. Mac loves the Peer Mentor Program as it allows him to connect with people and help them improve their quality of life.

Maya

Maya is a highly empathetic and patient support provider with a strong academic foundation in psychology and speech pathology. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Speech Pathology. In her leisure time, Maya enjoys intellectual pursuits such as reading and puzzle-solving, as well as physical activities like running and netball. She is passionate about facilitating social inclusion and empowering individuals to participate fully in their community.

Mia

Mia is friendly, positive, and always enthusiastic. She’s currently studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology, with a strong interest in understanding people and supporting their personal growth. When she’s not studying or mentoring, Mia loves staying active, whether that’s exercising, heading to the beach, or catching a good movie. She also enjoys skiing and sewing, and you’ll often find her relaxing with a coffee at her favourite café. Mia became a Peer Mentor because she’s passionate about helping others explore their passions and work toward achieving their goals.

Michel comes from a working background of administration and finance. He has now chosen to follow a new career path as a Peer Mentor. Michel is empathetic, trustworthy and caring. He enjoys football, music and spending time with his family and friends. He is passionate about the Peer mentor program because he finds working with his Participants rewarding and it gives him the opportunity to give back to society.

He enjoys participating in and watching sports including footy, cricket and basketball. Mitch likes to read, walk and go to the beach to work on his tan. Molly

Peer Mentor / Therapy Assistant

Molly is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and is due to complete this in 2026. She is ambitious, loving and fun. Molly enjoys helping people and seeing the positive impact it has on their life. Molly has travelled a lot within Australia and also overseas. She is very interested in sport and athletics and went on a basketball trip to the USA. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching movies, visiting art galleries and hanging out with her friends.

A keen traveller, Molly has explored plenty of amazing places including completing Everest Base Camp. Nathan is working towards a Bachelor of Health Sciences, set to graduate in 2025. He is an active and outdoorsy person who enjoys running, kicking the footy, playing tennis, and nature. He also likes catching up with friends and going for a walk or swim at the beach. Passionate about helping others, Nathan is dedicated to empowering people to live fulfilling lives and supporting their personal growth.

Neesha

Peer Mentor

Neesha is not currently studying and has no plans to return to further studies at this point in time. Neesha is kind, humorous and colourful. She plays competitive dodgeball and enjoys dancing and art. She loves cats and can play the trumpet. Neesha is looking forward to being able to help others by supporting and empowering them to be the best version of themselves. Neesha hopes to leave a positive impact on those she supports.

Olivia

Peer Mentor

Liv brings an empathetic and inclusive approach to her role as a Peer Mentor. She’s currently studying Occupational Therapy and is set to graduate in 2029, with a deep commitment to helping others live fulfilling, independent lives. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s walking along the beach, going on long drives with friends, or discovering new restaurants and shopping spots. Liv has travelled around Australia and is the oldest sibling with two younger brothers, which has shaped her nurturing and supportive mindset. With a deep value for inclusivity and equal opportunities, she finds the most rewarding part of being a Peer Mentor is seeing the positive impact it has on others and being part of their journey toward confidence and connection.

Oscar

Oscar is currently studying Law and Commerce and is due to complete this in 2027. He is a focused, reliable and caring person. Oscar lives an active lifestyle and enjoys going to the gym and running. He also relishes his downtime and likes listening to podcasts and watching TV. An interesting fact about Oscar is that he can hold a basic conversation in Mandarin Chinese.

Phoebe

Phoebe is currently studying Occupational Therapy and is set to finish her studies in 2026. She enjoys staying active by dancing, going to the gym, and taking her dog for a walk. Phoebe also has a passion for cooking and spending time with friends. When she’s not studying or working she loves walking along the Pier and going shopping in Geelong. Riley

Peer Mentor

Riley has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science and Exercise Physiology. He is easy-going, personable and enjoys chatting to anyone. Riley is passionate about the Peer Mentor Program because he wants to help people live the best life they possibly can. In his spare time, Riley enjoys hiking in the Otways, swimming at Breamlea Beach and travelling whenever he gets the chance.

Ruby

Peer Mentor

Ruby is a caring, outgoing, and friendly individual who finds being a peer mentor very rewarding and loves supporting her participants in achieving their goals. In her spare time, she enjoys going on walks, doing Pilates, shopping and dining out with friends and family. Ruby also loves travelling and has spent 12 months in Europe working as an Au Pair and can speak basic Italian.

Ruby is energetic, outgoing, and always ready with a friendly smile. With plans to study Social Work and a goal of joining the police force, she’s driven by a strong desire to support and protect others in meaningful ways. You’ll often find Ruby out and about, whether it’s taking her dog Arlo to the park, running, relaxing with arts and crafts, or heading to Torquay Beach. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors and having fun at Timezone. Ruby’s hiked the Kokoda Trail and completed three half marathons! Ruby is passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives and feels privileged to be part of their journey toward self-growth.

Sally

Peer Mentor

Sally is expressive, active, and always up for an adventure. She loves gardening, gold panning, cooking, bushwalking, and heading out on road trips to explore new places. Sally can speak intermediate French, play the piano, and ride horses! With her energetic spirit and love for connecting with others, Sally looks forward to empowering her participants and helping them achieve their goals.

Sam

Peer Mentor

Sam finds working as a Peer Mentor extremely rewarding as it gives him the opportunity to improve the lives of others. Sam is interested in sports, particularly basketball and football. On his days off, Sam enjoys going to the gym, watching movies and hanging out with friends. Sam’s top three values are honesty, empathy and giving his all in everything he does.

Sam is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and is due to complete this in 2026. He is passionate about the Peer Mentor Program as he enjoys bringing a smile to people’s faces. Sam’s friends and family describe him as funny, caring and respectful. Sam has lived in many places across Melbourne, Colac and Geelong. On the weekend Sam enjoys playing footy, taking a walk on the beach and going out for coffee.

Sam is currently studying Finance, with plans to graduate in 2026. He’s naturally funny, caring, and empathetic, making him a delightful and reassuring Peer Mentor. Sam is passionate about helping others unlock their potential. When he’s not immersed in numbers, you’ll find him surfing, playing footy, or just enjoying time at the beach.

Sebastian

Sebastian has studied a Diploma of Social Welfare. Sebastian is friendly, funny, and generous. In his spare time, Sebastian enjoys reading and spending time with friends and his family. He also likes to go to the cinema. Sebastian is passionate about the peer mentor program because he enjoys working alongside them and assisting them to achieve their goals.

Shane

Peer Mentor

Shane is caring, strong-willed, and leads with purpose. Currently completing a Certificate IV in Mental Health, he is passionate about supporting others to reach their potential. Shane loves nature, gardening, and exploring the outdoors through fishing, road trips, and drone flying. At home, he shares life with a dog and three cats and enjoys cooking, baking, and working with cars, motorbikes, and high-performance computers. He stays active through the gym and swimming and has skills in propagation and permaculture. Shane helps others gain independence and achieve their goals and is driven by a commitment to capacity building.

Simone C

Simone

Peer Mentor

Simone is described as caring, generous and understanding. She studied vet nursing in the 1980s and is considering studying disability officially. On her days off, Simone likes to spend time with friends and family, swim, walk her dogs on the beach, eat out at restaurants and travel. Simone is passionate about helping out families to make their lives that little bit easier.

Steve

Peer Mentor

Steve is an easy-going and sociable person who brings a friendly and approachable demeanour to his work. He finds joy in connecting with others and creating a positive environment. Steve’s interests include watching the AFL, going for walks, camping and cycling. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, taking his dog for runs and going to the beach. Steve has basic proficiency in Japanese and also knows how to play the guitar. He is passionate about the Peer Mentor Program and enjoys creating a safe and supportive space for participants to achieve their goals.

Tasha

Peer Mentor
Tasha is loyal, kind, and friendly, with a passion for helping others. She studied fashion and completed her degree in 2016. On her days off, Tasha loves shopping, coffee dates, stage shows, mini golf, and playing board games. She’s also passionate about acting and has an agent, having featured in movies and TV shows. Tasha brings creativity, positivity, and a fun-loving spirit to everything she does.

Tim

Peer Mentor

Tim has recently completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine and is currently studying a Masters of Physiotherapy. Tim has a keen interest in football, going to the gym and Anatomy/Human health. In his free time, Tim enjoys gaming, DJing and socialising with his friends. Tim is passionate about Peer Mentoring as it allows him to help others, bring a smile to their faces and guide them towards success.

Tom D

Tom

Peer Mentor

Tom’s friends and family describe him as friendly, enthusiastic and bubbly. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science (to be completed in 2027) with the hope of transferring to a Bachelor of Nursing at some stage. Tom plays footy for the Geelong West Giants and in his spare time, he likes to go for a coffee and hang out with mates, watching and playing basketball and going for a swim at Geelong’s Eastern Beach.

Wayne

Peer Mentor
Wayne’s friends and family describe him as funny, easy-going and helpful. He enjoys playing lawn bowls, listening to music, gardening and playing the piano. On his days off work Wayne enjoys walking along the Waterfront or going for a drive down the Surf Coast. Wayne loves working as a Peer Mentor as he is passionate about helping people in need and empowering them to achieve their NDIS goals.

Will

Peer Mentor

Will recently completed his Masters of Applied Learning & Teaching (Secondary) at Deakin University. When not teaching in school, Will acts as a positive, engaging and enthusiastic Peer Mentor. Will loves sports, including football, basketball, tennis and golf. He also enjoys chilling out and playing games with friends. Will loves the Peer Mentor Program as he enjoys helping others achieve their goals.

William

Peer Mentor

William is interested in studying Business/Event Management in the future. His friends and family members describe him as enthusiastic and inclusive. William is interested in music, video games, DJing and pop culture. His favourite things to do in the Geelong area include; visiting the driving range, going for beach walks and shopping. William finds his role as a peer mentor very rewarding as he is having a positive impact on the life of others.

Zavier M

Zavier

Peer Mentor

Zavier is outgoing, patient and kind. He has recently completed a Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) and hopes to study Social Work in the next couple of years. Zav likes growing his taste in music, getting out and being social while going on the occasional op shop run. As a New Zealand-born citizen, he is looking forward to giving back to our community.

Ally

Peer Mentor

Ally is currently studying to become a nurse and is to complete her Bachelors in 2027. Ally is outgoing, positive and works hard at anything she sets her mind to. In her spare time, Ally loves playing cricket, reading, or listening to music. Ally is an ADL umpire and enjoys watching the AFL season. Ally is passionate about broadening her skills in helping and caring for individuals and is looking forward to meeting new people in her role.

Katie

Katie is currently studying for a Bachelor of Medical Imaging and is due to complete this in 2026. Katie has an energetic, fun, and kind personality. In her spare time, Katie loves going for a walk, run or bike ride and spending time at the beach. Katie enjoys baking and cooking in her spare time. Kaite can play the flute and piano. She has the opportunity to visit quite a few places, including China and Europe. Katie is looking forward to having the opportunity to help boost people’s confidence in her role and encourage them to be themselves.
