On 9th September, the Access Your Supports team in Geelong, Colac and Mildura virtually connected to highlight the importance of positive mental health practices and celebrate R U OK day. Everyone has a story when it comes to mental health and today was a great reminder to check in with your friends to ask if they are OK.
Our team is passionate about providing holistic care and identifying all the unique psychological, social and environmental factors that can impact the mental health of our participants. At 11am, our team collected their finest yellow clothing from the back the wardrobe, and enjoyed a cup of tea whilst chatting across the various offices virtually.
Director Ralph Menchise made a thoughtful message to the entire team highlighting the importance of taking the time to stop and evaluate our own mental health, so we can better support our participants.
“R U OK Day reaffirms that our staff and participants are central to success at AYS. We value our team and support so they can deliver the best possible services throughout Victoria”. – AYS Spokesperson David Greenwood commented.
