Daniel is working towards his NDIS goal of building his employment skills, with support from Ebony, his AYS Employment Coordinator.
Through volunteering with the Geelong West Giants, Daniel is gaining valuable hands-on experience in a community environment while developing skills that will support his future employment goals.
With guidance from his Employment Coordinator, Daniel is building on his hospitality experience and strengthening transferable skills such as communication, time management and problem-solving.
He is also developing practical job-seeking skills, including interview preparation and cover letter writing, helping him build confidence and prepare for future employment opportunities.
These skills complement Daniel’s paid work at Baked By Us, where he continues to gain valuable experience and develop his hospitality and people skills.
Outside of work and volunteering, Daniel plays football with St Joseph’s Football & Netball Club, giving him another opportunity to build confidence, strengthen connections and be actively involved in his local community.
