From 1 pm AEST 21 August, The Victorian Government announced new restrictions affecting the way Victorians access our community. Access Your Supports is committed to supporting our participants, families and their carers through these challenging times. AYS are making the calls to ensure participants can access their supports and understand how they can use their plans flexibly to engage the supports they need during COVID-19 lockdowns.
Our team will continue to:
- Put our participants first
- Continue to provide and adapt services to meet your needs
- Always put safety at the forefront of every decision
Early today, our team gathered to discuss the day-to-day changes required. You may receive personalised information from your support worker or practician over the next fortnight until the anticipated restrictions ease. Our team will continue to update participants as required with changes that may affect services.
Where possible, services will continue online via telehealth or via digital means. An AYS staff member will contact you individually for affected services. In special circumstances, face to face services will continue to be offered which could include onsite (at AYS) or walking trips (Peer Mentors). To ensure everyone’s safety, we do ask you to fill out the Health Screen form prior to each face-to-face service.
We continue to support one another and encourage you to contact our team for any questions you may have.
